Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of appliance repair services by Home Service Plan Ltd. This is a service contract — not an insurance policy. Please read carefully before subscribing.
1. Services Provided
We provide a service plan under which we arrange for repair services to be carried out by qualified engineers for covered household appliances.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for cover, the following conditions must all be met at the plan start date:
- The appliance must be in full working order
- Any age of item covered
- The appliance must be located within the United Kingdom
3. Waiting Period
A 30-day waiting period applies from the start date of the plan. No repair requests will be accepted during this period.
4. Coverage
Your plan includes the following for each registered appliance:
- Unlimited repair requests (subject to fair usage)
- Engineer call-out arranged at no additional fee
- Diagnosis and repair coordination
- Labour costs covered through our service network
- Assistance sourcing replacement parts where required
- Support in resolving appliance issues quickly and efficiently
- No call-out fees when using our service
5. Exclusions
The following are not covered under any plan:
- Pre-existing faults before the start of the plan
- Cosmetic damage not affecting functionality
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or poor maintenance
- Commercial or business use appliances
- Consumable items (filters, bulbs, seals, etc.)
- Damage caused by external events (fire, flood, etc.)
- Full appliance replacement costs
6. Fair Usage
Repair requests are unlimited subject to a fair usage policy. We reserve the right to review accounts where usage significantly exceeds normal domestic levels.
7. Call-Out Fee
There are no call-out fees when using our service. The plan fee covers engineer call-out arrangements as part of your subscription.
8. Payments
Plans can be paid monthly or annually. Failure to make payments may result in suspension or cancellation of your service.
9. Cancellation
Customers may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no service has been used. After this period, refunds may be prorated or not provided. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.
10. Liability
We act as a service provider and arrange repairs through third-party engineers. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from appliance failure or delay in repair.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify active customers of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
